About Us
The Grassland Society of Southern Australia Inc, is a not for profit organisation, formed in 1959, to encourage the transfer of information and technology relating to grassland farming. The Society has nine branches throughout southern Australia which are:
- Albury Wodonga
- Central West
- East Gippsland
- Gippsland
- Limestone Coast
- Mid Goulburn
- Central Ranges
- Tasmania
- Western District
Society Activities
The Society provides members with the opportunity to attend many exciting activities and receive interesting information throughout the year. Activities and information include:
- Two day Annual Conference held in August
- Annual Mac Troup Lecture held in March
- Branch field days, farm walks and seminars held in autumn and spring
- Bi-monthly Newsletter that keeps members informed of local and statewide activities, the latest research and results and other relevant information
- Access to special project reports

Gilbert Tippett Annual Travel Grant
Members can apply for a travel grant up to $1500 to assist with travel costs associated with a grasslands related tour....find out more

The Bursary is offered to members who are studying agricultural science to provide financial assistance of $1000 to assist with studies....find out more
